Privacy: What This Site Stores, and What It Does Not
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from another host. What follows is the detail behind those three sentences.
The short version

Cookies

Analytics and measurement

Server logs

- the IP address the request came from;
- the date and time of the request;

- the browser's user-agent string.
These exist to keep the site running and secure: to diagnose errors, to identify broken links, and to recognise automated abuse. They are not combined with anything else, are not used to build a profile, are not sold or shared for marketing, and are retained for a limited period before deletion.
The lawful basis for holding them is the legitimate interest in operating and securing a public website. Where an IP address constitutes personal data, that is the basis on which it is processed.
Forms, accounts and comments
There are none. No page collects a name, an email address, a payment detail or any other personal information, because no page has anywhere to send it. There is no registration, no login, no newsletter subscription processed on site and no comment facility.

Where data protection law applies to you, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection in respect of personal data held about you. Why this policy is short
Most privacy policies are long because the site they describe does a great deal with data: it measures behaviour, embeds third-party services, personalises content and shares identifiers with advertising partners. Each of those requires disclosure, and the disclosures accumulate.
This site does none of them. There is no measurement, no embedding, no personalisation and no sharing, so there is correspondingly little to declare. The length of a policy is a reasonable proxy for how much a site collects, and this one is short for that reason rather than because anything has been left out.
What that means in practice for a reader
